We are coming up on the 4,000 fatality mark, in the war in Iraq.

The media loves numbers, loves the Iraq war, and loves to follow the number of American deaths in Iraq. They use this to trumpet our failure and how we should exit, post haste. "The war is lost, we should leave while we can..."

I would like to see the death numbers for policemen in America over a 5 year period. And then ask if we shouldn't just quit the war on crime -- because there are needless deaths of the police men and women, who are there to protect us from the bad guys. I wonder if that is in anyway similar to the news networks and the print media fawning over the 4,000 deaths number that is showing up from Iraq.
